What Should I Expect in Worship?

Walking through the doors of a church you’ve never attended can be intimidating. But whether you are 20, 50, 70, 90 or more, single or married, a family with growing children or grown children, you are welcome here.

Mount Lebanon is here to be a community for the community with Jesus as our heartbeat. We share God’s Word to connect people to Jesus and to our caring Christian community. We seek to do this through weekly worship.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We gather for worship at 9:30 am. During the school year, we have Bible studies for all ages from 8:45 am - 9:15 pm. During special times of the year (Advent and Lent) we also have midweek services.

Services last around 70 minutes. Services offering Communion (The Lord’s Supper) take a little bit longer. We understand that people are busy, but we also greatly desire to spend time in worship, in the Word, and in service to each other.

Look for a brown awning and a smiling face greeting you as you enter our community room.

  • Our services are generally about 70 minutes long. During the service, you’ll hear a sermon from one of our pastors. Their message is always based on God’s Word, and is also relevant and applicable to your life.

Oh, and we love to sing at Mount Lebanon! At every service an acoustic guitarist, a live pianist, an organist, and maybe even a soloist, a choir, a musical guest will assist us in singing praises to Jesus. We do a blended worship service which means that we include beloved hymns and contemporary songs.

All are invited to enjoy refreshments and coffee in our community room after the service!

  • We love having children in the service. We know that sometimes they make some noise.  We know that sometimes they wiggle a little bit.  But we love having them in worship.  It's a great opportunity for you to teach them about what is important in your life.  It's a great opportunity for you to do this most important thing as a family.  We already do so much apart. We're excited to help you worship together with your kids. We love the noise and life they bring to the service.

As you enter our church, we have activity bags for your children which are always related to what is happening in the service. You can talk with them about what is happening in the service as they enjoy the activity bags.

We also have a parents room to which the service is streamed where you can take a deep breath with your child. This room has books, activities, and a changing table.
