The Servant of the Lord #7 - The Great Exchange
What happened at the cross? Isaiah 53:4–6 gives us one of the clearest answers in all of Scripture. In these remarkable verses, the prophet reveals the Great Exchange: the Servant takes what is ours—our griefs, our sorrows, our sin—and in return gives what is His—healing, peace, and righteousness before God.
Nearly 700 years before the cross, Isaiah foretold the suffering of the Servant who would be pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. In this message, we reflect on the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and the comfort found in knowing that the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
