TCW 2025 — A Journey to SEE, SERVE, and SHARE

What happens when you load a bus full of 8th-grade scholars, a few faithful chaperones, and a God-sized mission? You get Travel Canvass Witness (TCW)—an unforgettable weeklong journey filled with discovery, service, and faith-sharing that leaves lasting impressions on everyone involved.

Last year’s TCW trip took our students across the Midwest to SEE what’s possible beyond grade school, SERVE others in love, and SHARE their faith through their words, work, and witness.

We started by touring college campuses like Butler University and Purdue University, giving our students a glimpse into future opportunities and sparking conversations about calling and vocation. Our scholars asked insightful questions, soaked in the collegiate atmosphere, and began to envision what their future might hold.

But it wasn’t just about seeing. Our young servant-leaders got their hands dirty at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Carmel, IN) and Faith Lutheran Church (Radcliff, KY). From mulching and cleaning sanctuaries to playing an unforgettable game of kickball with church families, our students embraced the opportunity to serve with joy and energy.

The trip also included time for awe and wonder—hiking the scenic Tioga Falls Trail and exploring both the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. These moments deepened our group’s sense of God's creativity and truth and sparked some great devotional conversations.

And in every place we visited—churches, hotels, restaurants—our scholars left a strong impression. We heard compliment after compliment about their respectful behavior, kindness, and teamwork. From the bus driver to the front desk staff, people noticed. These students truly shared their faith in how they carried themselves, in what they said, and in how they served.

As one of our trip leaders shared, “It’s been such an incredible experience watching our scholars grow, bond, and live out their faith in real ways. You’ve raised some amazing young people.”

Thank you to the parents, school leaders, and church community who made TCW possible. Your support is shaping students who not only dream big but live bold, Christ-centered lives.

SEE. SERVE. SHARE.
That’s what TCW is all about. Last year, your scholars did it beautifully. This year, they’re getting ready to do it again.
